Abstract :
Two high power semiconductor lasers are phase-locked to a low power master laser using optical phase-lock loops. Coherent power combination and individual phase control of the SCLs with an RF phase shifter and voltage controlled oscillator are demonstrated. A stable power combination efficiency of 95% is achieved using the VCO scheme.
