Abstract
Summary form only given, as follows. The propagation of ion-acoustic waves in a plasma in the absence of external magnetic field is described, in one dimension, by Korteweg-deVries(KdV) and in three dimension, by Kadomtsev Petvishvih (KP) equations. The behavior of small amplitude nonlinear ion acoustic waves, propagating in a magnetized plasma containing cold ions and hot isothermal electrons is described by Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation. We will consider the realistic case where electrons axe not isothermal and we obtain in this case a different form of Zakharov-Kuznetsov equation (modified ZK or mZK equation) or generalized ZK.
