  • Abstract
    The spectrally resolved gain dynamics of a semiconductor optical amplifier is measured under the amplification of multiwavelength pulses. Nonlinear effects are observed and demonstrated to be avoided by the inherent chirp of semiconductor mode-locked lasers.
