  • Abstract
This paper focuses on the development of a full-wave dipole antenna feeding technique. Four techniques of feeding were tested, in which, two were used with symmetrical dual feeding and another two with asymmetrical dual feeding. The antennas were constructed using channel-shaped aluminum section with length, width and height of 100 times 2.5 times 2 cm, respectively. The antennas were matched using balun and microstrip transmission line circuits. Initially, the current distribution was measured, followed by the measurement of antenna gain, radiation patterns and input impedance. The symmetrical dual feeding technique produced high gain as compared to the single and center-fed antennas. An improvement of about 3 to 3.5 dB was achieved. However, this increase in directivity is at the cost of increasing the feed points of the antenna. It was found that an asymmetrical dual feeding in-phase provides less performance and a 2.46 dB gain has been attained
