Abstract
There has been a dramatic growth in Engineering Education in India over the last decade. However, the progress in delivering employable engineering talent is still limited. In order to address this, a quantum innovation project, `Mission10X´ was initiated by Wipro Technologies, INDIA in September 2007. The main component of the program is a set of layered workshops to empower faculty members in designing innovative teaching methodologies to create active learning environments in their classrooms. Thus there is a rapidly growing community of Mission10X empowered faculty across India. In this context, the Mission10X portal was established to promote collaboration among such faculty members. This paper discusses some key areas that the Mission10X portal supports in creating new and transforming existing practices among the faculty of Indian engineering institutes for innovation in teaching-learning process. In addition, challenges encountered as well as future trends are also presented.
