Abstract :
In this paper the design and optimization of a dual-band antenna combining two printed dipole structures is presented. Due to the large antenna bandwidth and its dual-band operation, it can be used in the GSM wireless communication base stations and especially in indoor applications. Beside its large bandwidth, The main characteristic of the antenna is its high achieved gain due to a reflector placed behind the antenna and its simple feeding balun. Also since it is a planar structure, it can be fabricated easily and with low cost.
