Abstract
The preliminary structural analyses performed in support of the design development of the CIT (Compact Ignition Tokamak) vacuum vessel are described. The analyses were used to determine the preliminary structural configuration of the vessel and to optimize the vessel support schemes. The analysis activities planned in support of the final design are summarized
