  • Abstract
    Plants simulation is a challenging research domain. Under the condition that external environment affect trees, the paper proposes that adopting illumination model as plants-growing simulation mechanism, optimizing and adjusting external-environment parameters with genetic algorithm, and simulating the plant-growing process well. Experiments results show that using phototropism of plants and influence among them, forest-environment model established by GA can avoid cross and overcast among trees as far as possible, reflect tree-growing space characteristic well, and reproduce the forest-growing process factually.
