Abstract :
The paper represents a novel planar capacitively loading planar cavity resonator using the conductor backed coplanar waveguide in import/output ports. Capacitively loading of the electromagnetic band gap (EBG) cavity (CLEBGC) resonator, supports so-called TE10delta like mode, has been investigated. The Q-factor together with resonant frequency of this structure is investigated and the equivalent lumped circuit model, which can fit well with the EM result, is proposed
