The design of GIS-based information database of sports competition

With GIS-technology aided, the database of sports competition information is constituted through the analysis of data requirement, attribute and three aspects of the spatial database: conceptual design, logic design and physical design. It is a new means to arrange and integrate the city information resources, sports competition resources and social resources. And it provides a optimal allotment for those resources. In order to display the style and features of the host country or city and to enhance the levels of timely information announcement and information government, the thesis attempts to discuss the relation between the database and social service information systems, and to expect its reference meaning.
