Abstract :
A cost-effective WDM/DPSK-OCDMA sharing a single multi-port encoder in central office, tunable decoders in ONU was demonstrated in field trial. 111 km error-free transmission of truly-asynchronous, 3-WDM×l0-OCDMA×l0.71Gbps/user has been achieved without FEC and optical thresholding.
