Abstract :
The paper presents an overview of the novel paradigm of semiconductor-based non-reciprocal gyrotropic metamaterials. These metamaterials achieve non-reciprocity via an external electric current, in contrast to ferromagnetic, magneto-optic and plasma materials, which require an external magnetic field. They subsequently exhibit major advantages for applications.
