Abstract :
This paper presents a ship main engine model with RBF neural network using the actual data of MAN B&W 6L80MC ship engine. The master-slave simulator for ship engine and control system is developed based on the engine model, the upper computer is a PC with human-machine interface, and the lower computer is a microcontroller to control the engine model through simulation console. The simulators have been opened for training students and seamen at several maritime colleges and ship enterprises in China since 2000.
