Abstract :
The development and the measurement of two planar antenna structures is presented. These antennas are prospective candidates for the integration into compact millimeter-wave packages for 77 GHz automotive radar applications. The antennas were manufactured using only one metal layer on top of a 127 μm alumina substrate. Gain, radiation pattern and return loss of the antennas are characterised using a novel probe based measurement setup.
