Abstract
Nowadays, instead of being taught, students are encouraged to learn by themselves, being then essential to have new tools and resources that allow them to achieve the goals that a high education program proposes. This paper describes the motivation in the development of an e-book “Digital Control: from Theory to Numerical Simulation”. The e-book is a support tool for the Digital Control course and reuse concepts and knowledge acquired in previous years including Numerical Methods used to solve control models. The e-book offers different types of content and functionalities, such as videos and animations, transforming the learning process into an interesting and intuitive task. The language in this e-book is simple and intuitive to facilitate reading and understanding of the available topics. Being a portable tool, accessible in any computer, it is authors´ believe that this will be a tool suitable for students´ needs in their learning process. In order to understand the students´ response, questionnaire results are analyzed and discussed.
