Abstract
In this paper we describe an improved Poisson Surface Reconstruction algorithm. The Poisson Surface Reconstruction method considers all the points at once, without resorting to heuristic spatial partitioning or blending, and use the Marching Cubes algorithm to get the representations. We introduce an improved Marching Cubes algorithm to Poisson Surface Reconstruction method to generate more realizing representations. The improved MC algorithm includes interpolating between data points and fast searching based on data segmentation. Experimenting with publicly available scan data, we demonstrate reconstruction of surface with greater detail and more efficiency.
