  • Abstract
    This paper presents the results of experimental studies of the dispersion characteristics of photonic crystals with negative refractive index in the microwave region of electromagnetic waves. The possibility of good agreement dispersion 2D-photonic and phononic crystals and simultaneously in a single implementation of conductive metal cylinders in the air. On its basis, reviewed and consistently implemented the transition to a planar photonic crystal structure of 2D and 3D dimensions. Are design features, a comparison of the dispersion characteristics of the major benefits of their use.
