Abstract :
A CW sub-THz generator based on a double sideband-suppressed carrier (DSB-SC) without an additional filter has proposed to generate the CW sub-THz signals for realizing sub-THz communication systems. In order to make the CW sub-THz generator with a low phase noise based on the DSB-SC without the filter, we have coupled the DSB-SC signals with an orthogonal polarized optical carrier compared to the DSB-SC. Then, we have photomixed the DSB-SC with the orthogonal optical carrier into a photomixer. Consequently, the stable CW sub-THz signal with the low phase noise was generated without the additional filter by our proposed technique.
