Abstract :
0-dB coupled-line directional coupler exhibiting forward and backward coupling characteristics is designed on a combination of split-ring and mushroom-shaped resonators embedded in coupled line structure. Adding tunable varactors in the gap of split-ring resonator makes it possible to change the type of coupling of the directional coupler at the same frequency and design the 0-dB reconfigurable directional coupler on the proposed metamaterial structure.
