Abstract :
Micro-Computer Controlled Mixer (MCCM) will be the keyword for the next generation of highly linear, very low distortion, and, in spite of these contradictory terms, broadband single-sideband upconverters. These components can be used for 64-QAM and 256-QAM modulated digital radio links up to 26 GHz or even more. The concept, design and performance of an 11.2 GHz MCCM using this method will be described.
