Abstract :
DECT is considered to be a potential candidate for medium bit rate data communication purposes in industrial applications. One of DECT´s advantages is its possibility to increase throughput by allocating more than just a single bearer. But multibearer connections are more difficult to handle, especially in the case of automatic repeat requests, commonly used to deal with the bursty nature of errors in industrial environments. This paper deals with problems that arise when DECT´s channel assignment not aware of multi-slot connections and of upper layers (ARQ schemes). The result is less throughput than theoretically possible
