Abstract
The application of semiconductor diodes in microwave/millimeter wave frequency multipliers is well known. A new technique, employing semiconductor diodes in a balanced circuit configuration, has demonstrated significant performance advantages in millimeter wave doubler and tripler applications. Both theoretical analyses and experimental data summaries are presented in support of this conclusion.
