Abstract
Conditions for exponential stability of a nonlinear sampled-data system about an equilibrium are presented. Necessary and sufficient conditions are given in terms of an appropriately defined linearization. The Lyapunov-based analysis involves casting a sampled-data system as a continuous-time system with finite jumps
