Abstract :
Er/Pr co-doped ZBLAN double-cladding fiber pumped by high power collimated laser diode with wavelength of 975 nm, excites radiation of 2.7-2.8μm through the transition from energy level 4I112/ → 4I132/ of erbium. A maximum measured output power of 5.4 W and a slope efficiency of 21% were obtained by both-end pumping.
