Abstract
In this paper the performance of dual branch switch and stay (SSC) diversity receivers over correlated and non-identical Ricean fading channels is analyzed. For that purpose, a new model, based on linear transformation of correlated Ricean random variables into uncorrelated ones, is proposed. In that manner, it is enabled to apply standard procedure for performance analysis of uncorrelated signals. Probability density function (PDF), cumulative density function (CDF) and moment generating function (MGF) of the signal at the output of diversity combiner are derived. Furthermore, outage probability and bit error rate, assuming BPSK (Binary Phase Shift Keying) mapping of the input data, of the considered dual diversity system are determined.
