Abstract :
The paper firstly introduces the basic ideas of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) and fuzzy sets. Since project risk assessment is too complex to be understood quantitatively only, conventional AHP did not truly reflect human cognitive especially those “fuzzy” properties. Therefore “fuzzy Analytic Hierarchical Process (fuzzy AHP)” methodology is designed for the project risk assessment. Based on a structural hierarchy, an improved fuzzy AHP method is adopted for the projection risk assessment. A corresponding algorithm based on MATLAB is proposed to solve the risk assessment. It can help managers to make decisions on which types of project they should choose.
