Abstract :
Useful approximations to the responses of discrete linear systems and certain discrete nonlinear systems are developed for input complex AM-FM signals of the form s(m)=a(m) exp (j phi (m)). These are used to derive limits on simple AM-FM demodulation mechanisms related to the Teager-Kaiser operator.<>
