Abstract :
Due to the penetration of dispersed generation into the distribution network, the need for monitoring of the LV distribution network increase significantly as well as the need for new algorithm. But the difficulties to retrofit an MV/LV substation in order to monitor the LV feeder limits the deployment. New types of sensors based on wireless communication and self supply technology can now help to facilitate the installation on the LV feeders. These sensors can nevertheless reach a very high level of performances. Prototypes of this kind of sensors are tested through the framework of The 7th Framework Program European Project INTEGRIS & tested on 3 real show cases in Spain, Finland & Italy.
