Abstract :
This paper presents a new wide-band frequency model based on scale invariance. Self-similarities observed in power systems are mathematically translated by power laws whose exponents are linked to spectral dimension. This parameter is an expression of the topological properties of the network. Power laws are used for obtaining a wide-band frequency dependent network equivalent. Application to an IEEE test distribution feeder is shown.
