Abstract
Radio frequencies have become a scarce resource in many countries and white space communication promised to alleviate this problem. Standardization for devices operating in white space frequencies became indispensable and 1900.7 working group was formed from the white space ad hoc group in DySPAN for that task. This paper aims to provide an overall understanding of the 1900.7 standard. The network architecture, design, requirement, use cases, reference models and progress of 1900.7 are discussed in details in this paper.
