Abstract
The authors analyze the design methods of function combination and introduce a design approach of function combination of a model free control law. The meaning of parameters in the control law is explained. Based on characteristic analysis of the heater and control system in the oil refinery, an algorithm of the model free control law is directly embedded in the original distribution control system (DCS). The complex control unit is controlled in steady state and optimal state. The paper gives a set of parameters of a model free controller.
