Abstract :
The ΠΔΣ ADC architecture, proposed recently by Galton and Jensen (1995), requires neither time oversampling nor time interleaving. This architecture has a bank of Hadamard modulators at the front-end that, along with low-pass channel filters and back-end Hadamard demodulators, decompose the input spectrum into non-overlapping frequency bands. The frequency domain analysis of ΠΔΣ ADC architecture shows that this architecture is closely related to the subband decomposition based ADC. Furthermore, the ΠΔΣ ADC architecture can be generalized by combining it with the subband decomposition based ADC architecture
