Abstract :
An electrical model of the optical fiber acousto-optic sensor (OFS) coated with piezoelectric ZnO has been presented. The geometry of the optical fiber using ZnO coating has been firstly described and the basic theory of piezoelectric resonator of this geometry been analyzed. Then full details for the development of the electrical model based on the actual cylindrical nature of OFS have been discussed. An excellent agreement exists between the model simulation results and experimental measurements.
