Abstract :
This paper presents a homodyne network analyser working over the full ka-band (26.5 - 40 GHz). The system employs three cascaded binary phase shifters and downconverts the modulated RF-signal to the baseband, where it is processed by a microcomputer. Measurement errors for 50 dB attenuation are less than 2,5° for the phase and 0,5 dB for the amplitude. Linear system errors are reduced by the application of an automatic error correction procedure.
