Abstract
Reflection of normally incident polarized electromagnetic wave by a strained dielectric layer, transmission of the wave through the layer and changing its polarization state is considered in the paper. Possibilities of application of the obtained results for non-destructive determination of strain-stressed state of dielectric solids with use of electromagnetic methods are discussed.
