Abstract :
This paper presents a contribution to the short-circuit analysis techniques study in Electric Power Distribution Systems. This analysis is focus on the three-phase line impedance variation and load level effects on fault currents in electric distribution systems. Thus, both the conductors arrangement on the feeder and load level are evaluated in this work through computer simulations performed in the MATLAB® environment. The numerical results were validated with the ATP software (Alternative Transient Program) and show that these factors produce significant variations in the faults current study on the power distribution networks.
