Abstract :
This paper presents a new configuration for a tunable isolator with a varactor diode. The proposed tunable isolator comprises the isolator with a three fold symmetrical structure and successfully improves the decline of insertion loss caused by controlling of the frequency response of the isolator. The proposed tunable isolator has a tuning ratio of 20% with an isolation loss exceeding 15 dB and an insertion loss of below 1.0 dB, in contrast to the 10% coverage of the conventional isolator.
