Abstract
In this paper, the effects of rotor eccentricity (RE) on power losses in switched reluctance motor (SRM) with driver is studied. Two major asymmetrical faults namely as; dynamic eccentricity (DE) and static eccentricity (SE) are implemented with different percentages of eccentricity in a 6/4 SRM. Then different kinds of effective factors on total losses such as; flux density, flux linkage, ohmic losses, hysteresis losses, eddy- current losses and iron losses are evaluated by Transient Finite Element Method.
