Abstract :
Despite successful implementation of vector modulation in two level inverters, it is rarely implemented in multilevel inverters with a level higher than 3 due to the complexity of calculations. In this paper space vector modulation technique is presented for multilevel inverters in the non-orthogonal coordinate system which is capable of computing the multilevel vector modulation in a short time. According to the derived equations, in this method there are only two sets of equations which do not include any trigonometric functions and so, it is the fastest way to implement the multilevel vector modulation. At first this method is analyzed accurately and then vector positioning and switching time computing are explained. The simulation results validate the accuracy and speed of the proposed method.
