Abstract
Development of Distributed Generation (DG) technologies have led to appearance of Low-Voltage (LV) utility grids as microgrids. Because of the many advantages of Synchronous Machines (SM), utilization of them in microgrids is recommended. In this paper, advantages of using synchronous machines as DGs are represented and dynamic and stability analysis of microgrids with using of Synchronous Generators (SG) as generator in power plant and synchronous motors as a consumer is discussed. For this goal, a sample microgrid is presented and simulations base on it have been developed with PSCAD simulation software.
