Abstract :
Due to current investments in healthcare in Ontario, there are many reasons to measure change in primary care. Historic change measurement methods, as well as present change measurement methods, require a large investment in human resources and time. Change measurement can be defined as components of independent and dependent change. A three table data schema demonstrates a simple data collection technique that could be incorporated into Electronic Medical Record systems. By following a sample execution of the new data collection technique, we can practically analyze change in primary care. Future research in improved data collection techniques and analysis, as well as improved standards from the government that addresses the need for a business intelligence paradigm, will help further refine and explore the concept of change measurement.
