Abstract :
The goal of this paper is to show and quantify the advantages and drawbacks of flex foil technology and its application field in manufacturing flat HF transformers. A comparison between three different winding technologies (wires, PCB type and flex-foil) based both on experimental and simulation results is presented. Three multiwinding transformers have been built and tested for the same power stage of a VRM converter.
