  • Abstract
Recently, interests in the integration of knowledge management (KM) and business process management (BPM) from academia and industry have been significantly increased. And the key issue of integration emphasizes on the integration of knowledge process (KP) and business process (BP), where the context modeling is very important. However comprehensive research and a cogent framework have not been proposed for context-based integration of BP and KP, which were proposed independently. Based on task space, process space and knowledge space this paper proposes a context-based model for integrating KP and BP. Three types of key functions of the integration model are described and fulfilled. Then the context services are introduced and bound with activities, which are used to supply and store knowledge actively. A knowledge supply system implementing the model and a case study are presented to demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed integration model.
