Abstract :
Continuous wavelet transformation (CWT) of a signal is an effective tool for analysis of signals containing frequency and temporal localization. Measurement accuracy of a distance, in particular, of a level of a substance in a tank via microwave sensors with frequency-modulated sounding waves depends on measurement accuracy of beat signal parameters and a band of frequency deviation. CWT-based method for processing of a beat signal is presented. Modeling results show that it is characterized by increased measurement accuracy of beat signal parameters and needs narrower band of frequency deviation as compared with spectral analysis-based method.
