Abstract
The author presents an extended representation of morphological signals and systems that was developed for METAMORPH, an environment that automatically analyzes and symbolically manipulates morphological expressions. A an abstraction of the interaction of signals and systems he introduces meta-systems as a method for representing composite systems. This representation allows composite systems to be easily defined by their system properties. A new form of the morphological skeleton automatically generated by METAMORPH is presented. The automatically generated skeleton forms illustrate the potential that environments such as METAMORPH have for finding unknown representations of algorithms. Constraining the manipulations that occurred at each level of these signals, using the most extreme form of the rule about homothetics, and exploiting reused computation automatically generated efficient implementations of these algorithms.<>
