Abstract :
The paper presents the results of experimental studies of the characteristics (such as power, frequency) of the Gunn oscillator depending on the position of the diode in the waveguide cavity. The comparison of dependences of the central frequency of the cavity vs. the diameter of the radiator obtained theoretically and experimentally is provided. Some recommendations for optimization of Gunn diode oscillators can be established based on the results of this work.
