  • Abstract
The method for estimation of radial velocity of fast-moving near-Earth objects (asteroids, meteorites) from a Doppler signal, based on calculation of a fractional derivative of order 1/2. Theoretical basis for using fractional differentiation for fast estimation of mean Doppler spectrum frequency in the temporal area without spectral analysis is given. We describe the algorithm structure for real-time estimation; estimation of velocity resolution are performed using the proposed method in X-band. It is shown that the number of operations can be significantly reduced in comparison with similar value under spectral processing.
