Abstract :
The theoretical analysis of millimeter wave beam fluctuations in the near-earth turbulent absorptive atmosphere was carried out by the first approximation of the smooth perturbation method (Rytov method). The influences of outer scale size of the turbulence and wave beam parameter on level variations were investigated. It has revealed that under certain conditions the amplitude scintillations in absorption lines of atmospheric gases can exceed similar fluctuations in window regions.
