Abstract :
The possibility of experimental determination of spaceborne SAR´s through characteristic at the stage of ground tests is shown, and the techniques are introduced. A hardware-in-the-loop workbench for reflected signal simulation is developed using which the carrier frequency signals from the radar simulating reflection from the ground surface have been supplied to SAR receiver input considering the transmitter motion law and the survey mode. Spatial and radiometric radar test patterns, as well as point objects have been simulated. The data obtained are used for estimations of SAR spatial resolution, radiometric resolution and dynamic range.
