Abstract :
Channel reservoir is a main kind reservoir in petroleum exploration. High porosity and permeability, shallow burying and high output are its features. But the frequent change of channel and unstable lithofacies trouble us in fine seismic interpretation. In this paper, we focus on studying the characterization methods and receive some wonderful geological results. We make a 3-D theoretical model of fluvial reservoir firstly and study its basic characteristics. Then, a real project is researched: 1) Analyze the frequency band distribution of the reservoir, and extract 20 Hz frequency data cube; 2) Study the 3rd generation of the coherent algorithm which is better at noise immunity and resolution than conventional methods; 3) Explore the possibility using compound attributes to study geological bodies, and put forward a new seismic attribute-cascading attribute finally.
